I have an inordinate fondness for San Francisco. From the sand dollar strewn low tide of Ocean Beach, local cheeses at the Farmer's Markets, to free music festivals at Golden Gate Park, I take my daughters on many an urban adventure in our amazing city.
My aesthetic is fun and fresh. This applies to my photography as well as my illustration and crafts. I've been a professional family photographer since 2008. My goal is to provide beautiful photos that capture the essence of all family members; photos that will be cherished for years to come, while creating a relaxed photo session environment. Having 2 little kids of my own, I know that making the experience fun is the best way to coax out genuine smiles.
I'm also an illustrator and scientific illustrator. I've hand drawn extensively for the education and exhibit departments of science and nature museums; my MSc in Biology and MFA in Art & Design make me uniquely fitted to combine the two disciplines. As a Maker, I surround myself with fabric, felt, polymer clay, yarn balls, and looms and wish I had more time with my sewing machine. My design influences include Japanese Woodcut Prints, Graphic Novels (my MFA dissertation was a Graphic Novel) and Nature.
